Fostering Innovation & Entrepreneurship at GCE Tirunelveli
Government College of Engineering established the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) to identify and groom prospective entrepreneurs among students and to motivate students to start their own ventures/start-ups, creating self-employment opportunities.
The EDC works in collaboration with leading organizations like EDII-TN (Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute - Tamil Nadu) and DST-NIMAT to conduct awareness camps and various activities to promote entrepreneurship among students.

As part of the comprehensive induction program, EDC conducted entrepreneurship awareness sessions for all first-year students across all departments. This initiative ensures that students are introduced to entrepreneurial concepts right from their first year.
GCE Tirunelveli actively collaborates with AURCT-IEDP Hub to enhance entrepreneurship education and innovation among students.
