The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a premier youth organization in India that aims to develop character, discipline, leadership, and a spirit of service among young students. Established under the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948, the NCC functions as a tri-services organization comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings.
The motto of the NCC is "Unity and Discipline", which reflects its vision of nurturing responsible citizens who can contribute to the progress of society and the security of the nation. Through regular training, parades, camps, adventure activities, and community service, cadets are instilled with values of teamwork, patriotism, and resilience.
Activities such as trekking, mountaineering, shooting, disaster relief, and social awareness campaigns help build confidence and practical life skills in cadets. The organization not only grooms students for careers in the armed forces but also helps them excel in any professional field by cultivating discipline, leadership, and a sense of responsibility.
