The College library is housed in a separate block and contains books pertaining to the courses of study offered in this institution. A limited number of books of general interest are also available.

The library follows an open access system and activities are managed with AutoLib Software, which also facilitates mobile app access for students.

Maximum books per student: 6 books
Loan period: 30 days
Renewal: Up to 2 consecutive renewals
Identity requirement: Student ID card mandatory
Reference books: Library use only
Exam requirement: Return books before hall tickets

Library Etiquette

Entry via OPAC System using Smart ID Card
Leave personal books/articles at entrance racks
Maintain strict silence in the library
No writing or marking on library materials
Leave books on tables after use (don't re-shelve)

Borrowing Rules

Check book condition before borrowing
Report damage immediately to librarian
Return books within 30 days of issue
Pay fines for overdue books promptly
Follow all regulations framed by Principal

SC/ST Book Bank

Eligibility & Purpose

This book-bank is exclusively for recipients of Government of India post-metric scholarship. An eligibility certificate from the Principal's office is required.

Aim: To help needy and scholarly students improve their performance at university examinations by providing textbooks.

Key Rules

Books available based on availability
No student can claim books as a matter of right
Maximum loan period: One semester
No exchange of books between students
Return books in good condition after exams

Return Policy

Return next day after last written exam
Final semester: Return before hall tickets
Lost/damaged books: Replace or pay 3x cost
Application through HOD in prescribed form
Produce books when requested by library

Donation to Library

Donation Policy

The Library may accept donations of manuscripts, books, and journals from individuals, societies, and institutions, subject to approval from the Director of Technical Education, Chennai / Registrar, Anna University, Chennai.

Acceptance Criteria: Only standard engineering books/journals and rare manuscripts useful to students and staff will be accepted. Donations become absolute property of the college.
